Owners Direct is the UK’s number one direct from owner holiday rental website. We advertise self catering holiday homes and bed and breakfast accommodation on behalf of their owners. We are not a travel agent and all bookings are made between holidaymakers and homeowners, our site works as an advertising service. At the moment we have over 33,000 properties advertised on the site located in 77 different countries!
Owners Direct was set up in 1997 as a small business and consisted of a small brochure advertising a few properties. The website www.ownersdirect.co.uk followed and was manned by a small team of 8 employees until 2008 when the site was bought by the American company, HomeAway.
Since being under the HomeAway umbrella, Owners Direct has gone from strength to strength and now with a team of 20 employees the site continues to grow and receives an average of 1 million visits per month. Our hard work was rewarded in 2009 when Owners Direct received a Conde Naste runners up award for Favourite Villa Rental company.
Our main aim is to make holidaymakers aware that self catering is so much more cost effective and spacious than hotel accommodation. Why settle for a cramped hotel room and shared pool when you could have a villa with a private pool for a similar price? Our blog has been set up to keep holidaymakers up to date with travel news, useful information about destinations and site developments and we hope you will find it of interest.
